Ordered first bridesmaid dress

Finally found the bridesmaid dresses :D WOO HOOO !! but they are from america so will take about 10-11 weeks to come. I ordered the first one on thursday :D The colour of the dress will be euro wine though. Heres the link:

Thanks hun :) Sooo much cheaper from america isnt it. I ordered them thursday and they said they will get shipped out 3/11/2010. Oooo fingers crossed they come a liccle bit earlier, it shouldnt take too long for them to be altered x x x x x

aww thats lovely hun. its simular to the one i had for my adult bridesmaid (i only had one adult and 3 little ones). the only difference really was she has like a sparkly diamontee thing at the side where the waist is there was a little ruffle, doesnt sound great lol but looked lovely :) xx

I haven't ordered them straight from America, they're Dessy so still paying stirling but being ordered in by the bridal shop so probs not as cheap as if I had looked for them myself :( loads of ppl order from China, I was too worried to do that but I bet you could get great bargains there xxx

The dress themselves are $120 so there actually £70 and shipping is £40. Dresses that i seen in shops round here were like £175-£200 :eek: The shoes that i have seen are from China, think i will be ordering them from there, there £31 + p&p x x x x x

Oh god don't say that, that's a great price! I wish I had the confidence to shop around more especially abroad but my bridesmaids were being a tad awkward with what they wanted to wear so I needed them to try them on first so didn't look at ordering in then altering here. My 'chief' bridesmaid's dress was £195 and the other 2 were £169 each. Thankfully my fantastic mum paid for the dresses in the end (she was getting very stressed by it all as well!!!) so we've ended up paying more than I wanted. That's why I'm leaving shoes and jewellery up to them now!!!!

Yeah there's some fab bargains to be had from china, there's a lot of chinese sellers on ebay. I've bought my favour bags from there- 100 snowflake bags for £5 inc p&p- bargain! Having to wait a while for them to get here tho!!!! xxx

You are going to have everything done in a matter of months, and then you will prob spend the rest of the time sitting twiddling your thumbs waiting for the day to hurry up lol :) I would much rather have it all done early than a last minute rush, its too stressful!

i know yeah haha, my plan is to get the bridesmaid dresses ordered coz then ive got all the major things booked/sorted then like the venue, church, dj, photographer etc. Then i will take my time then with all the little things, prezzies, tiara, veil etc. The dresses should be here november/december so then after that it will give me 5 months to get the last of it done (plenty of time i know ha) but like you said i dont want a last minute rush lol x x x x x

I thought we were pretty much sorted when we had the dresses and venues booked but as I've discovered there's lots of little touches that take up the most time! So you'll be glad to get as much done asap so you have more time for the little things later on! xxx

I thought we were pretty much sorted when we had the dresses and venues booked but as I've discovered there's lots of little touches that take up the most time! So you'll be glad to get as much done asap so you have more time for the little things later on! xxx

what other little things is there hun. The only little things i can think of is tiara, veil, room decorations, chair covers, prezzys for bridesmaids, mum and MIL, lingerie for wedding night, shoes.

All the things you've mentioned, plus flowers, favours, table plan, order of services, invitations, table decorations and centre pieces, then there's finalising menus- timings of everything in the reception- when you're eating, buffet, DJ starting etc, we've got to get together a song list for the DJ, groomsman/father of brides clothes, hair and make-up booking and practices, dress fittings, cake topper, cake, guest book............erm that's all I can think of now! xxx

MIL is sorting flowers which ive picked and shes sorting invitations which i havent picked yet, oh **** i need to do table plan lol, table decorations the hotel provide, hair is being done by my friend and my aunty is doing make up, i still need a cake topper, mother is doing cake, and ive ordered guestbook (which still hasnt bluddi come) :mad: i ordered it end of july !!. Im guna have to come back to this as my checklist haha x x x x x
