Hi,

I'm new to NavyWags & thought I'd introduce myself.

My name is Lee, I'm 26, live in South Wales & I've been with Gavin, who's an AET for almost 5yrs. We have 2 boys together, Ieaun, 2yrs & Iestyn, 11mths.

Gav's been in the Navy for almost 3yrs now & until today was based in Yeovilton. He flow out to the Falkland Islands today to join HMS Southampton for a 6mth tour. It's the first time he's been away properly since he joined so am feeling really down & miserable today.

Anyway, hope to get to know some of you.

Hi Lee,

just though i would write you a wee message as so nice to see another navy wag on here! My fiance James is also in the navy, just passed out of BRNC and on his first deployment, thankfully not left Britain yet which is really good as wee have a daughter Alicia who is almost 6 months and he can get lots of weekends home. He is eventually will be on the subs which is really scary although he assures me are very safe (hmmmmm!!) I still find it very hard when he is away and think this site is grea for support. Do you live in married quarters? Be good to get a female take on them! I know your area well as all of my fathers side is from Somerset. speak soon

Hi Vicky,

I don't live in MQ's at the moment but we're hoping to set a date for our wedding when he gets back from the Falklands. I've been told they're nice though & the rent is quite cheap. Were are you from?

We've been really lucky because Yeovilton is only just over an hour from where we live in South Wales & Gav has been able to come home every weekend since he left Raleigh. Where is your fiance based at the moment? I don't know alot about being on subs, only that they don't get chance to contact home alot. Thankfully, Gav has access to the internet so we're able to email & write.
