View Full Version : Anyone know if H Samuels will do exchanges after 30 days?
Soooo I've seen a wedding ring I reeeeeally like lol from samuels where I originally got my ring from- however I bought it over 30 days ago (14/8/10) and was wondering if anyone has successfully exchanged after this many days? The ring I want is more expensive so hoping that would entice them lol....I have emailed them but thought I'd ask here xxx
Can you not go in and say... that you just got it.. lost the receipt but dont want a return and just want to exchange.. as in most retails you dont need a recepit to exchange.. just for a refund.. so you might not even have to say when you got it?
but not too sure if it is different with rings etc... but def worth a go. xxx

Return to any UK* store for immediate refund
This is the quickest way to return items. You can also exchange any unwanted items at your local H.Samuel store. Find your nearest store with our store locator.
What you need to do:
•Place the items in their original presentation boxes. Please note that pierced jewellery must be returned in its original sealed packaging.
•Take the items and despatch note you received with your order to your nearest H.Samuel store.
•If they are in their original condition we will process the refund or exchange for you.
•If you want a refund, make sure you bring the credit/debit/gift/insurance card that you used to place the order online.
•If the items were a gift to you then you will reimbursed with gift cards.
so.. maybe if you have everything it came with etc, you could just go in and exchange and pay the difference. xx

I was tolould exchange mine if it was in an unused condition and came back with reciept babe :) its worth a try., what one do you like? thwy have a lovely range in right now. Thats where i got our wedding rings from :) xxx

What do you think?!

oooh i love that ring. it's simular to mine except mines yellow gold and its more pointed where the shape is (not sure if that makes sense?). fingers crossed you can exchange it hun xx
That's lovely!!!! Your fight, it should be something you love Hun, and now you have seen one you like better than the original one you wanted you ll never be satisfied until you atleast try to change it. Better now to as they may have to order it in :) xxx
I rang up and they said they will exchange it if it hasn't been worn and has all the packaging etc which is does eeeeeeeeeeeee think I'm just trying to cheer myself up haha! So going in later- not looking forward to the journey, gonna pack my hospital stuff incase lol in the car but the good thing is I'm going to the city where I'm giving birth so I'll be in the right place lol.
Need to ask about OHs ring too- the fool told me it fitted in the shop but when we got home it was obviously way too big lol!!!! Pretty sure he has 3 months to get a new one (it's titanium so it can't be cut/resized) Thanks girls- so glad I have sumit to do today! xxx

Got my mum with me lol- I've been under 24 hour watch this last week haha! Thankfully my mum is on annual leave for 2 weeks! xxx

I'm sure they will exchange no probs, it would only be an issue probably if you wanted a refund, but the fact you want to spend more also, im sure they wont deny your money!
Hope the journey goes well, and I think it would be a good idea to take someone with if you can, as you just never know at this stage hun xxx
Back and got a new ring!!!!!! Didn't get the one in the link in the end lol, it looked gorgeous with my engagement ring but without it looked like it was missing something and I'm not planning on wearing my engagement ring everyday coz I panic about the diamond falling off as it's a solitaire ring lol. But I did end up with something more sparkly (and it was actually cheaper!)

I don't think the picture does it justice but I fell in love with it in the shop- looks gorgeous on its own and with my engagement ring. Chuffed it was cheaper too lol so don't feel tooooo bad about getting a more expensive ring. :D xxx

Emmz and I were talking (or emailing rather!) about me getting married and I will be on a strict budget but as she said (and I agree) rings aren't something you want to skimp on as you will see it every day for the rest of your life so it has to be something you love!

Completely agree....and it's the only reason why i can justify paying out what i did for my ring.
Stacey, the cross over ring looks more elegant and more like a wedding ring than the wishbone one. Good choice, very good choice!
