View Full Version : Can i steal a vertual hug?
Sorry for the downer thea when everyone seems so happy recently but can i ask for a vertual hug? and also not to put this on my FB as my sis is in NY and doesnt know yet.
Basically we were at my dads church last night havin a harvets super thing and he suddenly had chest pains i didnt know till 45mins as i was waitressing but my mum called the ambulance, and rapid response came and everything was ok, and i went to the hospital with dad and mum went back home to pick up clothes. He seemed fine but got a hell of a lot worse, and was in extreme pain :( When i left at 1230am they ruled out angina (sp?) but was lookin into a mini heart attack - as his risk fatcors are soo high as every male in his family has died at early 60s and hes 58 :( and a clot in his lung as every generation 2 people have had a clot and 1 out of 2 of them have died.
Atm its lookin like a clot, an tbh it didnt sound good when we rang up this morn and going back about 230 ish.
BUt yeah it all doesnt look good at the moment, but yeah.

Mahooosive hugs again lovely. like i said me and cameron can shoot your way if you and your mum need a hand with anything or anything we can do from this end just shout.
The main thing is that he is in the best place possible sweetheart. He ll pull through, if he's anything like his daughter hes strong and full willed.

The staff were amazing, and he got sent to bridgend instead of the local one (which is about 30mins away rather than 5mins!) and it is a good hospital and they were very attentive when i was there, and having a laugh with us too (well me as it hurt da to laugh!)
Just a shock i knew i had a crap family history but not that bad!

It must have been a shock to the system hun, when you text me yesterday saying you were helping at the church with harvest fest...the next text was what i least expected...i thought your parents had maybe found your condom stash :p (sorry trying to make you a litte lighter)

Oh Sarah - I'm sending great big virtual huggles your way!!! I hope your Dad's going to be ok. And like guccishoes says, try not to think about the past statistics, medicine is constantly improving. Keep your chin up hun and keep us posted on how he's doing so we can send lots of positive thoughts your way and support you as much as we can.

oh hun im so sorry big (((HUGS)))). thank god they were so quick and whisked him away to get treatment. at least he is being monitored and observed. let us know how he is getting on babe, thinking of u all xxxxxxx

Well my grandpa had 4 heart attacks and Bridgend got him through all of them so he sounds like he is in the right place!!!
If it is a clot (a PE - Pulmonary Embolism) they will give him something to think the blood and monitor his clotting levels. As the clot thins pain gets better and breathing does too.
I am sending you massive super hugs your way.... and if you need me Im in Wales weekend after next ! x x x

thanks everyone, well we went ihis afternoon and goin to go back tonight, he had some flued on his lung so drained that, hes being treated for a clot but still not sure if he has one. erm hes havin a heart scan tomorrow so stayin in tonight, but his heart is sounding funny, but hes looking better and he was allowed to walk to the cafe to have a coffee with us. but still having pains so we will see tomorrow i guess!

I had an extensive clot in Sept last year but mine was in my groin, they kept me in as it was so big and because of where it was located- I was treated with Fragmin injections for a few days then started on Warfarin (and was allowed to stop taking that in May/June) It is scary and I know my experience isn't the same but they're not always bad news.
Keep your chin up hun, I'm sure you've been a trooper so far xxxx
aww hun, big hugs. i hope he's ok and i hope the scan goes well. keep us updated with how he's getting on and try not to worry too much, sounds like he's in good hands. it always helps when the hospital are good especially when the staff make an effort. xxx
