Im new but ive been waiting for a while so ive been reading everyones stuff for ages haha!
Im from Birmingham and my OH has been in Afghan 2 weeks and one day! Not due home till April! xxxx

thankyou :) ahh its horrible isnt it, its his first tour as hes only been in regiment a year, how many has you OH done? im handling it better than i thought i would the first few days were horrible but ive been keeping myself busy n it really does help xxx

My hubbi finished his tour in May and is just packing up ready to go away on a course til xmas :( so i understand. hopefully we can hep make the time go quicker for you xx

to be honest it has gone pretty quick i know its only been two weeks but cauz ive been really busy ive not crossed the days off on the calender for a few days and i done it the morning and crossed loads off if u know what i mean? ah thats a shame hes off till xmas! its very hard but when they come home its definatley worth it :) xx

Welcome to the wonderful world of wags hun!!! Well done getting through the first couple of weeks. :) My OH is currently out in Afghan, due home in a few days for 3 weeks and then he'll be back out there and will also miss xmas and new year. There a quite a few of us in the same boat so we'll cheer each other on and through it.

Yea this is a hard one as its first time he's been away since we had our youngest :( but you're right, the homecoming is worth it :D;)

Mine is due to go in less than 2 weeks, so im stressing a bit at the moment, as the lead up seems to be the worst!!! There are a load of us with OH's who are about to deploy this month, so dont be shy xxx

OH has done one before we were together so its my first one, coupled with just buying our house together. I am a bit terrified, but the girls on here are great and not sure what I would do without them.

hey Kerry, I'm new too. Also been reading everyone's post for a while now. OH was deployed in July to Afghan. I remember how hard it was the first few weeks he left. Checking the news every half hour. Checking for emails waiting for his calls. then crying when he does call.. but it gets easier as the time goes even if it does'nt seem so now.
but this forum has been a blessing especially now that we can post :)

its horrible isnt it! when my OH calls i try not to cry but like u know if u talk you will cry, so i wasnt talking much n he thought i didnt want to be with him anymore! so i explained an i was like u silly whatsit! im getting better now just making the most of talking to him, he went on a thursday and by the saturday he had got 21 eblueys off me! haha so hopefully he knows i definatley do want to be with him!! hope youre ok :) xxxxx
