......... in less than 4 weeks!!! :eek::D
I'm gonna be a busy bee (/mad woman!!) for the next month lol!
Long story short.....we were gonna get a mortgage n save up for a year n get married - but we couldn't get the mortgage so we're gonna get married n save up for a couple of years in MQs then buy a house!
We booked it yesterday, for Sunday 7th November :)
We'd looked at the venue last year but couldn't afford it, but coz it's a sunday / november / short notice, the price is over 3 grand cheaper!!! well made up!
need to ring the priest today n see if he'll let us get married on a sunday, otherwise we'll jus do the whole lot in the hotel.
i ordered my dress this morning, it will arrive approx 28th-30th October (a whole week to spare lol!) and it only cost £120 :D
ordered my favour boxes, bows, ribbons n chocolates so should be able to make favours one day next week when everythings arrived - night in with the girls i think!
asked bridesmaids, best men (yes he's having 2 lol) told family. gonna go n buy invitations tonight n get writing them out so me n raf can deliver them next weekend, by which point it'll only be 3 weeks!! eek!!
gonna ask my mate to do photographs coz she's amazing and another mate (gf of 1 best man) is doin floristry at college n she's doin my flowers as our wedding present.
other best man works at debenhams so will prob get groomswear hire from there coz he gets 50% off - and maybe even bridesmaids dresses too coz normal discount is 15%.
raf left at 3.30 this morning and i couldnt get back to sleep so i started planning, i think iv done half of it already haha!!
gotta get the legal side of it done by 22nd at latest, so as soon as priest says yes, thats my next job!!
you kno the weird thing is, im not even phased by it lol!

Where you moving to? I cant remember where raf is based now! you moving as soon as your married? Can you transfer your job?

Woooohoooo Congratulations.........it'll be here before you know it!! Really happy for you, although I'm sorry to hear about the mortgage offer......Looks like things have turned out for the best anyway and as you say will give you time to save x x
he's at bulford in wiltshire at the moment, but is gonna try n get a new posting a bit closer - either back at stafford, york or anyway thats closer if they'll offer it.
yeh il be able to get a transfer fairly easily, i asked about it a while ago n they were all for me moving down south but at the time we couldnt do it. theres an office in york which some people frm my office are already attched to n there's god knows how many more across the country!
im rootin for york myself, would be a lovely place to live, probably the easiest to transfer to and only an hour away frm our families :)
we said that we'll move in as soon as is practical, if they say he can hav a new posting within a few months then great, but if the baby arrives first then so be it, my mum n dad hav already said im ok to stay for a while.
would be lovely to be in our new home by christmas but thats pretty optimistic lol!:rolleyes: x

dont feel like that anymore, tiredness has kicked in, been awake since 3.30 :(
stil havnt seen priest, dont want to leave a message on the answerphone so am gonna go to the church at about 4ish so i can speak to him then.
proper angry at my mate, iv known her for 13 years!! longer than iv not known her! she's had a stupid argument with a mutual friend and now hasnt spoken for about a year, coz she's so stubborn - the other girl thinks its hilarious how childish she is, i now see this!!
my mate jus came round for a brew n i was tellin wot had happened n she says its probably jus jealousy coz she's been with her fella for nearly 9 years n no marriage or baby talk ever. think she might be onto something tbh. but i jus cant be doin with the extra stress right now, i kno we'll work it out in the future but wont ever be the same again, how could it be?! iv got enuf on my plate at the minute, dont need her adding problems :(
il be so much happier wen the church is booked - coz then i kno its properly sorted n its jus a case of shopping for stuf, which il hav no problem with lol! ;)

Ignore your mate. 9 years is a long time with no marriage or babies. Maybe shes feeling put out that she's not doing it first. Its pretty nasty though, no matter what her reasons.

we're both havin a bit of 'friend' problems at the moment aren't we?! :rolleyes:
yep its not my kind of perfect church, but its my parish church, jus been built to replace the old one thats had scaffolding up since i was about 10 lol. opened in july so really modern, proper chairs not benches etc. so altho i like big old churches, this ones nice for totally different reasons. and raf thinks old churches are spooky so its good for both of us :) and i have a feeling we might be the 1st wedding???? that'll be nice :D

Sounds lovely hun :) I love church weddings, each to their own and all that, but nothing beats a church wedding in my opinion :) Its always feel very "proper" iykwim
