Hi everyone!

I'm new to this site! I recently stumbled across it and I am so glad I did! My name is Amy, I'm 21 and I live in Hertfordshire. My boyfriend is currently doing his basic training and he passes out at the end of this month. He is in the Royal Artillery. We have been together for nearly 5 years!

I'm really pleased I found this forum and I'm looking forward to meeting new people in the same position as me! :)

Thanks ladies for the lovely welcome messages! I wish I had discovered this site when he first went away in September!

My OH is joining 47th reg, he will be doing his phase 2 training at Larkhill I believe.

I am slowly getting used to him being away. One good thing about him being away is I now get to watch what I want on TV!! in particular...neighbours, eastenders, strictly etc!

My hubbi is Artillery too. Yea, all RAs so their phase 2 here in larkhill.

He'll be based in thorney Island once he has finished training then? Lucky thing, thats where I would have liked to have gone! xxxx

Yeah, I think he will be going to thorney island, which im happy about because it looks lovely and I love the south coast!

He will only be about 1 hour 40 mins from home, so I cant complain.:)
