Hi Everyone,
I've just recently joined this forum after google-ing Army support and from what I've seen so far its great! :) It seems every question I have about Army WAGS life that I thought would make me seem silly, isn't so silly after all as others have the same questions! And everyone seems so friendly and the advice given really seems to help.
I'm Jo (but i guess the user-name gives that away!) and my OH is Andy- he's in 2PWRR. We've only been together a few months, but even in this short time i've quickly realised that being an Army WAG is going to be a lot harder than I ever could have thought before  But I suppose if we can do this then we can do anything!
At the moment he's based at the Woolwich Barracks after 2 years in Cyprus and we met in the pub opposite camp. Luckily I don't live too far away from there in Bexley so we get to see each other quite a bit normally. However at the moment I'm very broken and he doesn't drive (Grrr!) so I'm lucky if i see him once a week, but I try not to mope about it or complain too much as I'm sure there's plenty of you ladies on here that would love to see your OHs once a week so really I'm still rather lucky!
As far as we know at the moment he will be based here for another 18months and after that will be based in Germany, although they are off to the Faulklands next year but we're not sure how long for yet- could be 3months could be 9. I haven't had to experience him being on tour yet, he's already done Northern Ireland and 2 tours of Afgan so will prob find it easier than I will. So far I've only been through 2 weeks of him being away on exercise and that was bad enough! (Sad i know!)
None of my friends or family have partners in the Army so this is all completely new ground for me, but reading some of the posts on here has helped already and the support you all give each other is great and I hope in time I may be able to help someone or turn to you all for help myself! I have a feeling i may ask some stupid questions so i apologise now!
Anyway this is me and i'm really sorry for the essay here- it was only supposed to be a quick introduction!
