hi, i've only just joined this site and was SO relieved and pleased to find it, i had no idea i'd be able to talk to anyone about all this stuff. i have loads of questions and really need some help! its wicked to know theres other people that are in the same situation as me becuse i didnt really know who to ask for advice. really looking forward to hearing all your stories and chatting!
i just found out the other day that my boyfriend is being sent to Afghanistan for his first 6 month tour, he has literally just passed out from his phase 2 training yesterday. i was wondering if anyone knew how i write to him and stuff? like, what is the adress?!! im totally new to all this and really worried and confused and not too sure how to deal with it all. any advice on finding out about sending letters would be totally appreciated! thanks, love flora

I'm sorry to hear your bf will be going to Iraq so soon, My fiance is going back to Iraq In jan.
As for the writing thing .... when he gets out there he will be able to tell you his address where you can send letters and parcels under 2kg to him.
You can also send eblueys... which are done online and are relativly quick... www.ebluey.com you can also send photo blueys from this site.

My husband is currently in Afghanistan his 3rd time there!!! I try and send Lee an E-Bluey ever day which he really likes getting and they really cheer him up and keep him going!!!

hey thanks so much to both of you for your advice , i reckon il def do that e-blueys thing, it looks really cool. hes in the light dragoons and he does all tank stuff, i dont really understand most of the stuff he goes on about lol but i do my best. what about you? love flora x

Lee is in the Royal Signals deals with all the radios in the vehicles! Its better if you dont know that much about what he is saying you may not worry as much!!! The first time Lee went to Afghanistan he didnt tell me much but now he tends to tell me verything which just makes me worry more and panic!!! But im getting through it just like everyone else does! Just counting the weeks to him coming home again :D

hi flora welcome to wags hun, im jennie and my man is in afghan for the next 3 weeks and then the tour ends finally!!!! you will get lots of suppport and fun from the girls on here and dont forget to come to chat room on wednesday night at 8 :)
welcome to the wags hunni, i think the nod and smile technique is well practiced amongst us wags, my boyf is a medic and just finishing up his training so not only is there amry babble..... N.C.O W.O etc i have cardiomyopathy Pnemothorax dislocated thingy majigs and bruised whatnots too lol
