hi, my husband is about to pass out in 2 weeks, he has been told he will get posted to edinbrugh, but iv heard some bad things about gangs up there

i was wondering if anyone's other has been posted there and what's it like

Hi honey!

Edinburgh is no different to most big cities. I am a Glasgow girl myself but have spent lots of time in Ediburgh in the last 5 years due to my job - I used to have to go there and take training courses etc and had many a night out. I actually and truthfully never saw any trouble and never felt worried walking about at night. Like all cities it does have it's rough areas but it is a really nice place. It has so much history and there are so many places to go and see outside Edinburgh too. Shopping is great and the people are really nice (but don't tell anyone I said that??!!! LOL, friendly rivalry between Glasgow and Edinburgh!!) I am positive you will love it there and don't believe what you hear about the Jocks and Scotland - it's NOT true! We are luverly people - you wait and see:D
