Hey girls, been looking at this site for a few weeks now and thought i'd sign up. Just want to say it's an excellent idea, sounds like you help each other loads and it's lovely that you all come together at times like this. My boyfriend has been gone for 16 days now and i really hate it. I think about him all day everyday it is mad but no-one else seems to understand. I managed to speak to him properly for the first time on saturday which, although it was only for about 15 mins it was great. He said he's sent letters but i haven't received anything yet and he hasn't received my parcels either. E-bluey is a godsend!!!
We're all in this together, the same as they are out there. I'd love to chat xxx

Awww thanks that was quick! I haven't been with my b/f too long, about 4months so didn't know whether i would be welcomed as much! I'm totally dedicated and know how everyone is feeling. i knew the day i met him that we would be together and i've never felt like this before!
I'm a student, last year of uni so luckily i have a lot to keep me occupied. IT's bizarre how much you miss them isn't it? The smallest things make you think about him and want him home!

Ye this site is brill dont know what I would do without it whilst Lee is away the girls are great.
The parcels have been taking about 5days to get there but thats when the postal strike hadnt been on. Send eblueys they get there the next day sometimes the same day which is brill :)
I've sent him a few but didn't want to bombard him! But when i spoke to him the other day he said send as many as possible. He's on a hill somewhere so the post is taking slightly longer but he loves the eblueys.
Any tips of what to send as a nice suprise, it's not the same keep asking him what he wants or needs?
It's so horrible not hearing from him for weeks xx

Go to a www.boxhappy.com and send him a sweet hamper or sweets from www.handycandy.co.uk they send them straight out to the BFPO number for you and you can write a message that will be sent out with it!!
Ive also sent Lee a couple of cards from www.Moonpig.com where you can send cards with your photos on and stuff.

Im also a student.. what uni you at? All the girls on here are great and will offer great support and advice. When matthew went on tour last year i had only been with him 2 weeks! Now we have been together over a year and we are engaged! He goes back out to ****ty iraq in jan :(

Forget all thoughts that you'd be bombarding him with Blueys......i promise you, he will appreciate each and every one! Its morale in a self folding envelope and i assure you, thats exactly what he will be needing.
As for ideas to what to send him, be as creative as you like. When my OH is away for long periods of time (the longest being 2 months) i tend to send him a card reminding him exactly why i'm here for him....though on a few occasions, his oppo's have thought i was sending him a 'dear john' letter as opposed to a 'i love you and would never leave you' letter! Lol.
Be positive in all correspondence with your boyfriend, he will need to know you are ok and the fact that he's away isn't affecting you too seriously. Let him know how your days have been, what things you've been upto and what your plans are for the rest of the week, that way he will think 'gosh shes getting on with things as well as missing me......amazing'

Awww thanks for that missus... I got 3 letters from him this week, they have taken almost a month to get here though. And i missed his calls today arrrrgh and he last called 9 days ago. Its so annoying, i saw it just as it went off. Hope he calls again soon as i'm really missing him. His mum has invited me over saturday to stay the night. How cute! I've been either eblueying, sending a hand written letter or a parcel almost every day.I feel a bit silly!

Aww thats so sweet, you should definately go and stay on saturday because i bet his mum needs the support just as much as you do....why dont you get a bottle of wine or something to take with you and have a girlie chat.
My OH has just been posted to a new job......and i thought he was going to be a bit closer to me but as sods law will have it, its even further away.....ah well i cant complain. I felt so guilty last week, he was home for a week and all i could think about is you girls who wont be seeing your guys for a while.....lol i felt like shouting at him! Wont be long anyway babe, he will be back in your arms in no time!

Awww bless him poor thing... But i know what you mean, we're all in it together! Yeh it will be lovely to catch up, i'm taking some wine round and she has made his bed for me. It's going to feel weird sleeping in there without him. i think that's when it will hit me! I just miss him loads and can't wait until feb, seems such a long time away.. xxxx

I no wot wud really help his mum, ask ur OH wen u nxt ebluey him if he'l write one for her n print it off 2 take round. If he's anythin like mine they neva av the time & wen they do they jus write to u. Always bully mine into writin a bluey to his mum. I tend 2 pinch 1 of my OH's Tshirts wen he goes away n sleep in it, I no its a bit sad but it tends 2 help me wen ur missin him from ur bed. Hope u have a lovely nite with her tho, it all helps make the time pass easier.
Hi Annie, thanks for that. Unfortunately he is on a hill somewhere so can't get to a computer. He phoned me today and i got a letter this morning which was lovely! I think i'll be stealing one of his t shirts though. And i thought whilst i'm there at the weekend i will take some pictures of his mum and bros to remind him. Wooooo xxx

Hi Sammy i have been using ebluey more than "snail mail" and it is a lot quicker, i love it! The only problem is that my OH is off camp and they don't get the post as often. So he's only had my letters up until the 20th october so far. It's so annoying! I think he gets them once a week so a few go at once. But it is a great system! xxx
Hi ya, Im also new to this site.
I havent been with my boyfriend long at all (a month) he is a Submariner and away at sea at the moment. Im not used to dating guys in the forces so I havent toughened up yet so when he told me he was going away for 5 weeks like the typical weak woman that I am I cried. I have now found out his mother knows I cried so god knows what he felt when I did cause I havent had any contact with him because he is at sea. I have registered in hope I can get loads of tips on how to get on with my life whilst he is away. Its only been 8 days and im struggling already I still got about 27 left

Blumin eck, ur goin thru wot I did 5yrs ago (& from wot i've read every woman here, so ur not alone). I met my other half for 2 long wkends b4 he went to Iraq wen the war was startin, we'd send blueys (letters) 2 eachother as much as possible, "it boosts their morale" so he says. Sumtimes I think without all that we'd not b together now. So everytime ur feelin low & missin him like crazy just remember how much stronger its making ur relationship.
To pass the time go spendin sum £ on new sexy undies 4 wen he gets bak, I go 2 the gym n book in at hairdressers b4 he gets bak so I can look my best, makin him realise how good he's got it with a women waitin 4 him at home.
e-blueys are the same but email (i think, neva used it)
Take care hun & keep yourself busy & he'l soon b home.
P.s my OH went away sunday only on exercise & only for 7wks & I cried, always do n there has been many time he's gone away, I haven't found it gets any easier ova the years. But its SOOOO GUD wen he gets bak it almost makes it all worth it.x

I cant send Michael letters because he is in a submarine and doesnt get postal drops so its hard. Im hoping he will surface next week at some point and be able to give me a quick call or text, which will ease my mind and keep me going for the remaining 3 weeks. Next year he will be away for 5 months which will be the killer

My OH has gone to afghanistan for 6 months, been there over a month now and i won't lie. It's a killer!!! We've only been seeing each other a few months but i knew straight away he is worth waiting for..
Anyway, he can't ebluey me because he doesn't have a cmputer nearby but i ebluey him almost everyday.
Basically it's like e-mail but he doesn't need a computer. It's www.ebluey.com. When it gets to their end it is printed and enveloped and then given to them. Noone gets to see the letter as it is a machine which prints and seals it. It's much quicker than snail mail, usually geting to them in a couple of days or less depending where they are.

I always send my fella eblueys reminding him of what he's missing. If you're feeling frustrated I've gone onto a site like www.cupidskitbag.com before and bought us some toys to use when he gets back or something to keep me busy!!!!
