Hiya Everyone , I am new to the site and still trying to figure out how it works:). I have a hubby in the RN who is away for the next six months , been gone 3 weeks so far and missing him like mad. xx

You will get the hang of it very soon, i'm sure! This is a brilliant site if you are looking for some support while your husband is away. Everyones welcoming and friendly so don't worry and i think you'll find most of the ladies are in the same position as you so they can relate to you more. I'd like to say that us girls on here are a bit like magic support knickers (you can't see us but you know we're always there.)

There are a few girls whos guys are away at the moment, my guy goes to Iraq in jan so i'll be joining you all soon. We are all being countdown buddies which may help the time pass so you'll have to team up with us.
We usually hang around in General chat, weekends are usually quite but we do have chat nights on every wednesday and sunday at 8pm. Hope to speak to you soon.

Hey hun, I'm Lee & my OH Gav is in the RN too. He's been out in the Falklands since June & is due back 13th Dec. He's an Air Engineering Tech, what does your OH do? Its been a really difficult 6mths & we're having a few problems at the moment but I'm hoping that we'll be able to sort things out once he gets back.

Aww i hope that you can get everything sorted when he is back home , it makes it so much harder when they are away to be able to talk and sort things out doesnt it. Im always about for a chat if you need to get some things off your chest :)
I think my hubbys ship may be taking over from yours as they are heading that way for Dec ! lol . He has only been gone for 5 weeks and already i am thinking oh god we have another 6 months to go yet lol. He is a LS spec but they are changing everything with these branch amalgamations so he is more on the comms side at the moment ..i dont get it myself ! lol .

I'm lisa and with anthony who is in the navy too - he used to work with Lee's gav. Been togther for about a year now (yikes!) and he's been away for almost 2 months now in the gulf. Back 4th April 2008. wohoo!

What ship is your OH on then? Pretty sure Gav said HMS Edinburgh was taking over from his ship, he's on HMS Southampton.
I'm sure we'll be ok, its just his first trip so afew teething problems I think. How long has your OH been in? Gav's on his 3rd year.

Aww Lisa i know what you mean its a long time isnt it , My hubby isnt due back until next May. What ship is he on ?. Its our first wedding Anniversary this coming Sunday so will be celebrating apart , but it will all be ok :) x
Lol Lee humm perhaps not then , mine is on the Nottingham . I have a friend whos hubby is also on the Southampton , she is very excited about him coming come soon just like you :). I love those tingly feelings you get when you know they are almost home after such a long time :) xx

His Name is Aleck but im not sure what he does on board though lol . Its understandable to have so many different emotions , we all do at times, sometimes i love him and other times i want to throttle him ! lol :) xx
