Heys guys i am brand new to this so dont really know what im doin but thought i would give it a go. I have been reading this for the past month and you all seem to help each other out loads, my boyfriend joined the navy in July and i seriously dont know how you all manage to cope????

We have a chat on every sunday and wednesday starting at 8pm in the wagsunited chat room, its a good laugh and usually turns to sex... but thats another story lol.
The girls on here are all stars, they have been or will be going through tours and everything the ARMY/NAVY/RAF throw at us, so theyare great at giving advice and are guarenteed to put a smile back on your face and re-assure you.

Thanks girlies, reading this site for the past month has kept me going, knowing im not the only one feeling down in the dumps, hes only in training at the moment and im finding that hard enough, but im sure i will get there.

There are a few girls on here whos guys are in training so they'll be bale to offer lots of advice babe. It is hard being a wag, but we all stick together and that in itself softens the blow of what the forces throw at us. You just have to believe in how strong you are.
You prob saw my posts the other day about me fallign apart becuase my guys going on tour, i really felt my world was falling apart but thansk to the girls ive realised i can do this, and i want to do this, Matthew would support me in my career and i support his, I dont even hate the army, i am annoyed its ruined my 5 year plan (:rolleyes:) but the man i love is following his dream and im following mine.
I even stuck up for the army the other day (:eek::eek::eek:) well not so much stuck up but Matthew was feeling really **** about his job etc, and was gutted he was going to Iraq and not getting to see the bands we both like (basically hes jealous) and how boring this course he was on was, he was all like argh this army lark etc so i said babe everyday think of one thing you like about your job everyday and remember that you are living your dream, I dont like Uni but i have to do it so i can get the career ive always wanted...

Well i keep trying to be supportive, he keeps telling me how hard it is with all these exams hes got so i keep looking everything up that he is studying to try and understand (not that i ever do), he is training to be an AET. This site is well supportive and everyone knows what its like which my other friends dnt (although they try).

yer i know the feeling the only person who was supportive of me when my ex was in afhan was my dads ex feancie njo 1 else knew how i felt she didnt but she was still there but now i got my best mate laura an she was in the navy for bout 3days till tshe found out there were complications with her baby coz she was poregnat an she came out an she now has a beautiful baby girl
Well when he passed out i met one of the other guys girlfriends so we now text each other all the time but everyone else its the same old thing, they try but dnt know what to say!

Hey Emma, I'm Lee & my OH Gav is an AET in the Navy too. He's been out in the Falklands for the last 6mths & is due back in 3wks time. I'm 26, Gav is 21, my toyboy lol. We've been together 5yrs now & have 2 little boys together.
AET training is really hard & a long process before they qualifiy but it does mean they don't go frontline straight after training. Gav's been in 3yrs now, he put in for an early drafting but alot of his mates haven't been frontline drafted yet. What aircraft is your OH hoping to specialise in? Gav is on the Lynx & is usually based in Yeovil.
Tours are hard, this is Gav's 1st one & we haven't seen each other since June. We've had our ups & downs but the girls on here have kept me strong with their advice & support.
Feel free to PM me if you want to chat, I'm on most days so will usually reply the same day. You should join us in chat on Sunday & Wednesday evenings, we normally start with a moan, then move on to other topics lol.

Yeah he keeps saying how hard it is,he has been at Gosport for 3 weeks now and getting a bit stressy with all the different tests they have each week but he is getting there and so am i i think.
Not long now then till you see him, well im 20 and so is dean we have been together just over 4 years.

I remember when Gav was down in Gosport, he had a test virtually every week which he hated. He used to bring the books home & I had a look through some of them, made no sense at all.
You'll have another ceremony thing to go to when Dean leaves Gosport, not quite to the scale that the passing in parade is but a proud day anyway.
Does Dean get to come home very often, Gav used to come home every weekend.
I'm really excited about Gav coming home but due to our most recent down, I'm nervous too.

He isnt doing to bad at the moment for leave, he has had a couple of weekend duties, but im seeing him the weekend after next and then he hopefully gets 2 week xmas leave.
Im sure everything will be fine when you see each other, its amazing how much you forget when you get to see them.
I know i tried researching the stuff he is learning i didnt understand a thing
