Hi everyone, I've never used a forum before but my man is away, I'm feeling kinda lonely and I was kinda hoping for some tips on making it easier.

My OH went on optelic 12 on thursday so i know what you're going through.
You got to keep yourself busy, but allow times to be upset etc dont rush yourself. It can take up to two weeks for you to get used to them being away and getting intoa routine.
Where is your guy based

wishing there were people around me who understood, feel very isolated, is that normal?
Very normal babe, friends who dont have guys in teh forces cant understand what its like so its normal to feel alone, but carry on posting here and you'll feel alot better as we all understand.xx

Hi Joe I'm Paula. My other half is serving in Afghan at the mo and has been away for a few weeks! Kate's right, it doesn't really sink in until about 1 or 2 weeks later. There is going to be some hard times, but just come onto the site and us girls will cheer you up! I'm a bit like you, family and friends don't really understand, but you'll be ok, he will miss you just as much as your missing him. xx

not sure about the church thing but surely if you can get onto base unescorted theres nothing to stop you using the church???
Hey Jo.Im new here too and its a lurvely site! Mr C was based out in Cyprus is now back in the country but off to Afghan soon.I used to find that one day a month to have a day to pamper or a day in my PJs feelin sorry for myself made things easier.Before Mr C went back to Cyprus i would make a list of all the things i could do with him away and then plan what to do together when he was home.x x x

over a week done, it's getting easier.
just google day counters hun, theres loads of them - u just put in ur start n finish dates and it works it all out for u. Then just copy and paste it into ur signature box xxxx
