Is anyone else's boyfriend/husband on vanguard

I'm new to this so sorry in advance

My boyfriend is currently on Vanguard, he has been 'leaving' for 6 months or more now, it is really doing my head in, its the first time he has been away since i have been with him, i get all built up for him leaving, get upset then he returns a week later, every time i see him it;s our last time and that puts pressure on us, of course i'm happy short term that i see him again unexpectedly but then i also want him to go so that we can return to some sort of normality. anyone else in this situation!

My other half is on Vanguard so I know exactly what you mean. I'm new to all this and finding it all really hard, it doesn't help that I'm a very organised person that likes to plan things in advance, trying to get over that and just go with the flow is what i'm finding the hardest thing.

How have you got on with it all, I'm guessing your other half is on the opposite crew to mine, looking at when you posted your post.

Aftershock.....its a V-type Submarine......and carries Trident nuclear missiles.

Hasn't Vanguard just gone back into operation after being refit? My OH used to be at FPG at Faslane so used to see all the Trident subs come in and out.....
