Hello,
I'm so thrilled to see this site!
I have been an army wag for two years now, originaly my boyfriend was based in Germany for a year of our relationship but then transfered to Colchester and is now a para! His being deployed to afghan in days and im going out of my mind!
I can cope with him being away because i have done in the past, i often joke that his my part time boyfriend, but im worried sick!
If i knew he was going to be safe maybe i'd feel better but not knowing if he will be ok is driving me insane!
And im just so a bit anxious on how im going to cope without his support, not hearing his voice for a long time and haveing a cuddle lol
God....I sound like a right barrell of laughs, if any one could give me some advice that would be great!!

Hi hun welcome to wags. You have come to the right place. Everyone on here is fantastic and are really supportive. My oh is based in Germany. It's not nice them being away, especially when they go on tour, but the best thing to do, as everyone will say, is to keep busy. My oh goes to Iraq at the end of this year and he was in Afghan this time last year. But come on here and all the ladies will help you through!!! they've been a great help to me so far. xxxx :D

welcome 2 wags hun, im lorraine and my oh has been in the army for 3 and a half years now. he is a movement controller in the RLC.
my bloke hasn't been away on tour but i don't live on camp with him either so not seeing him all the time is hard. but if u have done it once, now u have found this site u will b ok! look forward 2 chattin 2 ya xxxxx
Welcome Hollie...Im Claire and my man is currently in Iraq... is it horrible but you adjust in time....ive been with my man 19 months now and prob spent less than a year of that together... but it all worth it for that kiss n cuddle wen u see each other!!!!
You come to the right place for support, i wouldnt be gettin thru this tour without these girlies!!!!!! x x x x x

Hi Hollie and welcome to wags, we all know what your going through so your not alone ok. Im Nicola, 26 and married to Cal whos a dog trainer/hander in the RAVC, he is currently in Afghan and has been since Oct, he's due home the end of this month :D Not going to lie, it is hard them being away but once you have got the first couple of weeks out of the way you will be fine ok. Try and keep busy and get into a set routine etc and you will be fine. We are all here to help and support you ok so get posting xx

Im Ella aka Sarah, Omar (my OH) is currently in afghan, due to fly out tonight as its the end of tour... :D
It was our 1st tour and it was hard him being away as we had only been together 7months before he left, but the tour amongst other things has definately made us stronger!
Like the girls all say the 1st couple of weeks are the hardest but after u settle into a routine you get used to it, and you find that you always treasure the calls and emails.. If ur anything like us u will also find alot of ur now free time is taken up on here!!!
The girls on here are amazing they help u throught anything whether its army related or not!!! and they are all a great laugh... Its a proper little support network!!
So have fun posting.. and I look forward to chatting with you xxxx
