Hi everyone, im Emma
Just started seeing a lovely guy called Scott at the beginning of march so we've been in the 'honeymoon period' however he left for Singapore yesterday for 2 months and I'm completely lost without him I feel like a part of me in missing ( if that makes sense!)
The worst part is the mood swings throughout the day, one moment im fine, the next im crying and he's only been gone a day...
Whats the easiest way to get through this? He's back home in June

I'm new too,to this and being part of the whole army thing.
Ive been with my man 4 six mths but we have known eachother for 17 years,hes not away but based in salisbury and im about a 45 min drive from him,might be goin to Afghanastan in Oct though,not lookin forward to that,and i have a sneeky sus hes goin to pop the question on my birthday on the 16th apr.
I'm gonna need lots of advice,and prob tear wiping,are we mental or wot ?
Welcome to wags hun!! I'm Sarah, my oh is coming back from Afghan in 4 weeks! Like me there are a LOT of girls on here who have oh's away or who have been away, so you've come to the right place!
Just keep yourself busy and make sure you look forward to him coming back and don't focus on the time apart. It must be hard spending that long apart when you're still a fairly new couple... but just think once he gets back you'll go right back to the begining of the honeymoon stage! :p
Two months will fly by hun, and the girls on here are great if you're feeling low! xxx

Im Claire, 21 and my fella is currently on a 7 month tour of Iraq... hes completed 5 months now already...
Best thing to do is keep busy whilst he is away.... and time will fly...seein them after so long is amazin....

Well im just waiting for scott to text me to tell me he's landed safely then I can go to sleep knowing hes fine.
I cant wait for him to come home, im going to spoil him and make him feel so special...ohhh and another thing, are the navy strict on what you can send out in parcels??

I'm Jo, my OH is in Iraq, he's home next week! it is hard, I've found this site fantastic help though, all my littles worries can be aired and the helpful responses I've recieved have been great. just keep posting on here, you'll be fine!
Aw bless, dont worry, 2 months will fly by. I remember how you must be feeling right now. When i got with my oh, we had 3 weeks together before he went back to Germany, and since then i've only been with him for a maximum of 3 weeks at a time, during leave etc. and some weekends when he comes home or if i go to Germany. It's a lot worse when you're not used to it. But after time i have got slighty more used to it, it's still hard but it gets a lot more bareable, especially with these ladies on here!! They are all amazing!!

Hi welcome to wags im Michelle been with lee for 7years but married for 1year he is currently in canada, you just kind of get use to the coming and going LOL its hard at times especially when your waiting for the phone calls that sometimes never come when they said they would call cause the phones are down or when they do call the line keeps breaking up!!! It just all part of been an army wife or girlfriend and you adapt very quickly!
Just try keep busy and im sure you will be fine
got my first email from him today, poor things depressed and wants to come home already, said its too hot to sleep and he misses home too much :( I know hes strong though and he'll get his head down and get on with it xx

Email from Scott today, he flys from India on June 13th..the day after his birthday :( so its going to be ten weeks before i see him and not the 8 i originally thought :( but on the up side, hes putting his notice in as he's been told he wont get promoted until december 2009 xx
Hun dont be down the time will go quickly!! Just keep writing emails to him to keep him going but also you need to try focusing on something to keep you busy to make the time go quicker! Least it is only 10weeks apart which will fly by well alot quicker than a 6months tour!!
Dont get your hope up for him signing off though hun because he may just be saying it at the moment because he is feeling down once he is back he may change him mind about signing off! Plus if he signs off he will have to serve a year which by then he would only have to wait aa few more months to be promoted!
