I hope you don't mind, my hubby left the RAF in 2006 but it was a huge part of my life that I feel lost without it..
So I'm not a WAG I'm an ex Wag.
I look forward to reading your posts and seeing if I know any of you.

Thanks for the welcome, my OH did 23 years in the RAF Regt. We met at RAF Laarbruch (it was love at first sight) lol the next day he couldnt remember me!!! too many beers the night before.
We lived in Gutersloh until it closed its doors to the RAF, (Germany was the best) moved to the UK to RAF Honington in Suffolk, Cranwell and Chicksands, he was in both Gulf Wars - not nice and now he's a civillian

Wow, 23 years. My oh is based in Gutersloh!! I'm moving out there once we're married!! So you liked it there then?? Wow both Gulf wars too!! Sounds like you moved around a bit!! Bet its hard getting back into civi life after all that?

It is hard adjusting to Civvi life, for me more than him. He is doing really well.
Gutersloh was wonderful, we had our first 3 years married over there, Ben was with 18sqn raf regt. I worked for Bertlesman Gmbh over there, infact most of the wags did. They pay good too. I would love to go back for a visit.
Sara, my OH Benny Evans was a Sgt on basics when he left in 2006, he really enjoyed it. Maybe your fella knew him... whats his name?
i think he joined just after that his name is robert goslin but he might know his dad warrent officer bryan goslin he has been in the raf along time just thinking bout coming out but i think he will be 55 when he does lol

No, Ben doesnt know either. Wow the dad has been in a lot longer than my OH, mine was 40 when he left in 2006.
We are both doing ok, thanks. its just different, no community like Forces community.
I'm glad you enjoyed living in Gutersloh, i've been a bit nervous about moving there, even though i've got a year to prepare myself. I just dont know if i'll like it or not. I've been there a few times and the main thing is i'll be with my oh, but to hear that you enjoyed it there make me feel better about it!!

see im new to all this raf thing, findong it hard to adjust as well cause i moved up here then rob left 3 months later luckley though i made a good friend buim still really young to everyone else up but i suppose we all just have to give it time the things we do for our husbands lol x
